Accessibility Statement
TailorMeSwiftly is committed to making career technology accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.
Our Commitment
Tailored Services LLC is committed to ensuring that TailorMeSwiftly.com is accessible to people with disabilities. We are actively working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
We also aim to conform with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which requires federal agencies and recipients of federal funding to make their electronic and information technology accessible. As a platform that serves institutions receiving federal workforce development and education grants, we take this obligation seriously.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy across all 67 public pages, validated by automated axe-core audits
- ARIA landmarks and labels for navigation, main content, and form elements — all page content contained within landmark regions
- Skip navigation links on every page
- Keyboard-navigable interface — all interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard
- Visible focus indicators using
:focus-visiblestyles with sufficient contrast - Color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) in both light and dark themes
- Text resizing support — the interface scales with browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Alternative text for meaningful images; decorative images marked with empty alt attributes or
aria-hidden="true" - Form inputs with associated labels, descriptive error messages, and proper
autocompleteattributes for authentication fields - No content that flashes more than three times per second
- Reduced motion support — animations and transitions are suppressed when
prefers-reduced-motion: reduceis set in the user's operating system - Touch target sizing — interactive elements meet the 44×44 CSS pixel minimum for pointer inputs
- Screen reader-only utility class (
.sr-only) for supplementary text
Standards We Target
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Our primary conformance target for all public-facing pages and application features
- Section 508 — Conformance with the Revised Section 508 Standards for electronic content, relevant to institutional partners receiving federal funding
- ARIA Authoring Practices — Custom interactive components follow WAI-ARIA design patterns where applicable
Known Limitations
We are continuously improving the accessibility of TailorMeSwiftly. Some areas where we are aware of ongoing work:
- AI-generated resume content and briefing outputs may not always produce optimally structured content for screen readers. We are working on structured output formatting.
- Some third-party embedded content (e.g., payment processing via Stripe) is governed by those providers' accessibility practices.
- PDF exports of resumes and reports are being evaluated for accessibility tagging and reading order.
- Voice AI mock interview features require audio input/output; we are exploring text-based alternatives for users who cannot use audio.
